We are hiring again! We now have a great opportunity for a talented Paralegal to be based in our offices in Bourne End, near Maidenhead, to provide support to the Head of Legal in the overall management and administration of the legal and commercial department, ensuring that the risk to the business is minimised and the company remains compliant with all legal requirements.

Legal and Commercial Administration

Organising, maintaining and managing the administration of the supplier contract database to improve efficiency and manage risk to the business.Maintaining and managing the administration of the company (secretarial) books to ensure that the company remains compliant with law and regulations at all times.Administration of other company legal documentation, for example property contracts and Intellectual Property documentation to manage risk and improve efficiency.To ensure that the Legal and Commercial Department’s correspondence with customers and suppliers are easy to find and kept up-to-date to improve customer service, both internally and externally.Commercial/Contracts

To assist the Head of Legal with drafting, reviewing and negotiating software licences with customers in line with business requirements to provide quality and timely responses.Assistance with drafting, reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts in line with business requirements to manage risk effectively.To carry out legal research in relation to customer contracts to ensure that the correct advice is given.Legal Issues

To assist with company secretarial matters to comply with law and regulations.Assisting with contractual disputes and liaising with external solicitors to meet deadlines and resolving issues in a timely manner.Obtaining information internally to enable the Head of Legal to review potential disputes and formulate appropriate responses.Assisting with property, data protection, employment and intellectual property matters to provide an efficient service to the business.Carrying out legal research to support the Head of Legal in providing an excellent service to the business.Customer Service

Providing professional and effective services to internal and / or external customers, to meet customer expectations, particularly in terms of quality and timeliness in line with departmental standards, procedures and guidelines.Communicating courteously with internal and / or external customers by telephone, email and face to face, building positive relationships, investigating, responding to and progressing issues and queries to a successful conclusion at the earliest time.Knowledge

Ensuring that a good level of understanding and knowledge of the organisations products and services, which is improved and maintained at all times, ensuring that customer queries can be dealt with accurately and appropriately and supported by the department.To be willing to listen to and support colleagues and team members with professional problems, devoting time to impart expertise, infusing confidence and expressing positive expectations regarding the team’s and company’s performance.Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.Key Interfaces
