Sarah Farrow is recruiting for a Lead Electrochemical Engineer on behalf of a multinational manufacturer of speciality chemicals, at their site in Billingham on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for coordinating Application Testing and Quality Control activities associated with development of Nickel-based cathode technology. You will take an active role in bringing best practice in house, enabling rapid materials assessment under a range of test protocols and supporting strategic customer programmes. Key Responsibilities of this position will include: - Leading the day to day Application testing of materials produced by the Nickel-based cathode technology team related to scale-up and product innovation programmes. - Maintaining and expanding the capabilities of world class electrochemical facilities, and promoting continuous improvements. To be considered for the position you should have the following skills and experience: - Qualified to PhD level in Electrochemistry, or have substantial experience in a related field. - Experienced in processing secondary battery materials into electrodes and testing in various cell formats. - Enthusiasm to drive application understanding understanding and accelerate product development through rigorous testing of formulated products. - Demonstrable experience in handling large data sets, ideally with experience in automating evaluation.
