To £45,000 + Benefits Utilities Durham The Company Our client, an established utilities company, is going through an exciting period of change and they are looking for a Data Analytics Consultant to join their Credit Risk team. The Role Working with senior stakeholders the role focuses on helping develop and grow current risk processes that will help shape and support the growth plans of the business, ultimately ensuring protection against credit risk and increasing customer satisfaction. Regularly review analysis and MI ascertaining key insights that will help drive change and improve the businesses performance Design and develop extensive complex scripts to transform, validate and manipulate large data sets Extensive use of SAS to manipulate large volumes of data, whilst evaluating performance in line with key strategies Working with a number of internal and external stakeholders to build, test and implement new credit risk capabilities Acting as a subject matter expert regarding the tracking, production and analytics of key information that is a pre-requisite to the successful credit management of this function This is a senior opportunity within a large organisation ultimately ensuring the effective management of key campaigns, processes, analytics and MI which underpin the businesses risk operations. The Candidate The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and highly analytical, with a Maths, Statistics or Physics degree. You will have good problem solving skills gained from either a Credit, Marketing or Customer Services background and proven technical programming skills developed within SAS. As this is a senior opportunity you will need a strong commercial awareness, good stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex analytical information to technical and non-technical individuals.
