Claims Manager – Professional Indemnity
Job Summary: To help achieve our vision of being a leading provider of commercial claims solutions. This will be done through the proactive management of claims, at the individual and portfolio level, to optimise levels of satisfaction for the client, policyholder and broker through high quality claims management, resolution and service. To assist in the leading, managing and development of key financial lines clients.
Key Relationships: Senior Management, Claims Operations Manager, Claims Team, Financial Operations Manager, other staff and external stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage staff within the claims team to ensure excellent client service levels and customer satisfaction
• Proactively oversee the management of UK PI claims portfolios and handle a selection of larger, more complex files
• Manage own portfolio of low volume, high complexity claims from first advice to closure
• Third party management in relation to service and performance (e.g. Panel solicitors)
• Ensure UK PI team adhere to appropriate use of Claimsview system with proficiency, efficiency and accuracy
• Adhere to any applicable claims authority, policies, procedures and manuals
• Where required, provide input to clients on review of potential or existing insured’s claims notifications
• Work closely with the Claims Operations Manager to ensure internal audit and quality control mechanisms are adhered to e.g. Peer Reviews
• Work closely with the Claims Operations Manager to attain claims measurements of service and performance
• Build effective relationships with all levels of management and key external stakeholders
