An organisation based in Manchester is looking for a Finance Manager on either a full time or part time basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and ensuring accuracy and timeliness;Developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines;Setting up new candidates on the payroll system;Chasing outstanding timesheets from contractors;Processing timesheets and invoices;Requesting accurate funds for payments;Processing own company payroll on a monthly basis;Updating the company system with details of queries and resolutions;Reporting VAT;Managing and paying company expenses;Managing monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensuring accuracy of financial statements;Responding to financial questions and concerns to meet business needs.A successful candidate will have/be:

Experience in managing accounts in a small business;Excellent attention to detail;An understanding of basic bookkeeping, knowledge of accounts payable principles, ability to comprehend and manage financial records;Proficiency with accounting software (ideally Sage) as well as payroll and accounts payable software;Qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred but not essential;Previous experience within a similar role;Good planning and organisational skills to balance and prioritize work.
