Our client is seeking to expand their commercial team with the recruitment of a dynamic, focused and experienced Strategic Account Manager (SAM) in their East London, Birmingham and Glasgow offices. To secure the commercial success of the company as a growing and developing business, the SAM will need to establish strong customer relationships to achieve commercial targets, maintain and develop a robust network of Innovation Partners, ensure the commercial offering remains leading edge and attractive, develop and execute manufacturing strategies for key Partners and work al42000ongside the delivery teams to deploy innovative technologies and processes. The SAM will also work alongside the marketing team to drive the overall marketing, communications and events strategy in their region. This represents a fantastic opportunity as the SAM will be given the platform to represent the company amongst key leaders and decision makers from within the manufacturing sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a professional, dynamic and growing team carrying out a diverse range of deliverables Key Responsibilities: Act as the key strategic interface between the customer and the business Develop the commercial offering for the company in their region Form and deliver annual budgets for commercial work in their region Work with the delivery team to provide a complete service to partners Plan programmes and projects for Strategic Partners to support their ambition in relation to their own objectives – gain confidence of the Partners to build commercial work Define the company's service offering Write and issue commercial proposals Present and explain proposals to the customer Design, lead and follow up on strategy days for Partners Translate leads into opportunities and ensure efficient closure Hold brainstorming sessions to identify solutions to meet the company's clients’ objectives and work with client stakeholders to get their buy-in Seek out and recruit new Partners Liaise with both senior management and technical team members within customers and establish productive, professional relationships Assist in defining best practice for the usage of the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system Take responsibility for their own and their team’s tasks and outputs Protect and exploit arising intellectual property Contribute to new regional and national business opportunities and pitches Disseminate knowledge to Partners and other stakeholders Attend events and activities to support the company's engagement with local stakeholders Ensure compliance within internal processes and procedures Develop, build and maintain the company's commercial offering Increase work with existing Partners and bring on board new Partners Be responsive to Partners demand for engagement Forge the generation of ideas to increase Partners’ commitment Build consortium's to facilitate projects Disseminate commercial team activity to the wider team Take part in national commercial meetings – prepare for these and follow up on actions Skills Required: We require someone that is ambitious, driven, strategic, commercially-minded, and used to working in a fast-paced environment The successful candidate will need to be creative in their thinking and articulate in their approach A concept of innovation and a strong sense for business transformation would be beneficial Relevant industrial knowledge Excellent client management skills, proving the ability to understand client’s needs, their sector and how innovative technologies, tools and methods can help them meet their objectives Financial acumen and experience in managing budgets Strong Project Management skills A flexible approach to cope with frequent change A high level of motivation, initiative and creativity Good written and spoken English and report writing capability Ability to present concepts to a wide audience Relationship management at C-Level Detailed understanding of a typical sales cycle Leadership skills including ability to maintain strict confidentiality Experience Required: Proven Strategic Account Management experience Workshop design and facilitation Used to working under pressure Extensive sales experience in a B2B role Experience of working with a CRM Additional Information: Relevant degree or considerable experience in a similar role Full, clean driving license ======================================================================== Do not miss out on your chance of interview – APPLY NOW!
