With infrastructure at the heart of the London Borough of Bexley’s Growth Strategy you will bring your obvious vision, passion and leadership to a programme of exciting and regionally defining infrastructure projects including but not limited to:
  • Digital infrastructure
  • Electrical vehicle charging
  • Green (and Blue) infrastructure
  • District heating
  • Pull through of transport related projects
  • Public Realm improvements.

Located in south east London and a Thames Gateway borough, Bexley is now planning for the prospect of significant housing and employment growth with infrastructure investment key to this strategy.

As Head of Infrastructure you will work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure the delivery of Infrastructure projects which serve existing residents whilst meeting the Council’s Growth Strategy.

You will be an experienced Programme Manager ideally within one or more of the Infrastructure areas, able to evidence your ability to perform at a senior level. Outcome focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills being able to work under pressure using your own initiative is a given.

Essential requirements for this post:
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and developing a team or service;
  • Achievement of measurable results in an environment where political and financial issues impact on service delivery;
  • Knowledge of major legislative, social and economic issues relevant to the job;
  • Evidence how you’ve successfully managed budgets
