Interactive Software develops web-based Research and Laboratory Sample Management solutions that are implemented in a number of prestigious Universities, Pharmaceutical companies and Research Establishments globally and in the UK. Our success means we need to expand and are looking for a highly talented Software Application Developer to join our experienced development team providing tailored, quality solutions to our customer base. As a Software Application Developer you will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, configuring/developing the solution using a combination of inbuilt system customisation tools and code written in T-SQL, JavaScript and/or VB.NET. You will become an expert on the company’s systems, their application and configuration across the company’s client base, with the ability to understand, design, implement and test customer solutions. You will be reliable, have drive, enthusiasm, a can do attitude, attention to detail and are ready to become part of a delivery driven and collaborative team, in a fast paced exciting environment. Software Application Developer key responsibilities include: - Responsibility for designing, configuring and developing customer solutions in line with the defined business requirements. Producing documented, tested customer solutions which you will hand over to the Business Analysts and Testing teams for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Assisting with the enhancement and development of the system customisation tools to provide customers with greater system ownership. Highly professional, good communicator, learns quickly. Software Application Developer experience required: Proven experience of experience of developing/customising solutions in enterprise software arena (minimum 3 years) Excellent working knowledge of MS SQL Server (minimum 3 years) Excellent and proven knowledge of writing complex T-SQL queries (minimum 3 years) Ideally knowledge of Cloud based applications (AWS, MS Azure). Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts Tenacious problem solver Analytical and logical thinker Excellent organisational skills Excellent customer service skills BSc in Computer Science, Life Sciences, Mathematics or related field would be advantageous Understanding of relational database concepts Programming skills in languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, JQuery advantageous Organised, with the ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure Please note: you must be eligible to live and work in the UK without restriction.
