QA Degree Apprenticeship Programme
The Degree Apprenticeship is an innovative new programme, with a rapid growth in starts, which means that the successful applicant will be involved in developing the existing team, recruiting new coaches and problem-solving to refine and improve the quality of delivery as the programme grows.
The programmes are expected to have significant growth in apprentice numbers over the coming years, which will require the Skills Coach Manager to manage high quality day-to-day delivery whilst also working to expand the team and build improved infrastructure for growth.
As Regional Skills Coach Manager you will have the experience and management skills to develop, motivate, and inspire our regional team of skills coaches to successfully deliver our Degree Apprenticeship programmes.
Focusing on improving apprentice satisfaction measured through qualitative and quantitative feedback, including Net Promoter Score.
Focus on identifying and supporting at risk learners to re-engage and retain learners on the programme, with retention as a Key Performance Indicator for the role.
Implementing a rhythm of team calls and meetings to manage the programmes on a weekly, monthly and quarterly pattern
Take ownership for the Work-based modules in the Degree programmes, and ensure Coaches support learners to deliver on time and to a high quality.
Proactively identify broader delivery risks and mitigate them before they become issues for customers.
Ensure Skills Coaches are consistently compliant with ESFA funding rules requirements, including for induction and on-programme progress tracking.
Work closely with the Delivery Manager, Programme Leader and Lecturers to ensure academic standards are continuously reviewed and improved.
Maintain detailed view of Skills Coach resources and work with the Delivery Manager and Director on tactical and strategic resourcing plans, particularly in planning for the future growth of the programme.
Experience of managing the delivery of complex training programmes, ideally Apprenticeship programmes. Experience of Higher Education and/or Degree Apprenticeships would be an advantage.
Proven people management and operational delivery experience
Knowledge of Apprenticeship programmes, ideally in the Technology, Leadership & Management or Business Services sectors.
Understanding of the various key aspects involved in the development of high quality training programmes.
Understanding of people management and operational management techniques, particularly in a fast-moving environment.

Excellent communication skills, with credibility to work directly with corporate customers
