My client is currently looking for an experienced Financial Controller whose role is responsible for EMEA region’s monthly accounting & reporting of the P&L, balance sheets and other financial reports. The role involves partnering with local country accountants in the EMEA and the US to ensure timely & accurate reporting, while in compliance with US & local GAAP.Driving process improvement project work will also be an integral part of this role. Works closely with the Manager, Finance-EMEA and the finance team in the US.
Job Function:
Owns the validity of trial balances for the EMEA region, including supporting reconciliations.

Works with EMEA and US accountants for the monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, including co-ordination of all schedules, reconciliations and reporting packages for review by the Senior management.

Prepares financial reports such as gross margin analyses, cash flow statements, income statement and balance sheets.

Ensures all reporting is submitted accurately and timely on the monthly, quarterly and annual schedule.

Completes balance sheet reconciliations for review.

Prepares of various business reports on a timely basis providing accurate commentary and follow up on variances where required.

Ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Standards.

Ensures VAT returns are calculated and paid correctly.

Completes the combined reports associated with bookkeeping and cost accounting for EMEA.

Oversees the expense report reimbursement process and credit card reconciliation monthly and pay the invoice timely for DPT employees. .

Supports(mother company’s) internal and external audit requirements.

Performs internal financial audits.

Liaisons with external auditors.

Oversees and ensures that the UK payroll is completed in timely and accurate manner and all vendor payments are made per schedule such as pension contributions and insurance premiums.

Supervises the Accounts Assistant and liaisons with other individuals who are handling accounting work in the EMEA.

Performs the Accounts Assistant duties in their absence.

Supports management and finance team on ad-hoc duties or projects.

Identifies and drives areas of improvement within current processes with the aim of maintaining the current high standard of service provided in a more efficient manner.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.
