I have an urgent requirement for a Legal Secretary with experience in conveyancing. This role is a full time permanent position, although there is some flexibility on the hours for the right candidate

GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above English, Maths, ICT
Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS)
Land Registry
Anti-Money Laundering Awareness
Mortgage Fraud & Cybercrime Awareness
Track Changes, Auto Numbering, Styles, Compare Documents
File Opening
File Closing
Diary Management
Client Liaison
Data Protection awareness
Able to use the computer to work smarter not harder
Sound, recent, working knowledge of the conveyancing process from start to finish.
Aware of the risks facing conveyancing firms

Software Applications

Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel, Windows Explorer. Intermediate to advanced level.
Adobe Acrobat - reader
Land Registry
Digital Dictation e.g. Olympus, BigHand

Personal Profile

Hard working, conscientious, tenacious, can do attitude, IT literate, works smarter not harder, good telephone manner, remain calm under pressure, able to prioritise, able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to individuals at all levels i.e., clients, colleagues, estate agents and other solicitors alike. Proactive, and accurate in all aspects of their role. Able to work under own initiative, and in a team when required i.e. helping colleagues in times of absence.
