We require a Chassis Electronics Steering Angle and Sensor Engineer for our client a leader in the luxury automotive industry. Resilient and enthusiastic, an individual able to deliver results under pressure, whilst responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs, highly driven, committed and results-orientated. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the Steering Angle Sensor, for a number of different vehicles across our clients range, developing and delivering the Wheel Speed Sensors, Brake and Clutch Switches and other sensors which the Chassis Electronics Steering and Braking Team are required to deliver. You will work closely with the suppliers in a partnership to robustly deliver the required documents and product to the program timing. You will work closely and in conjunction with other departments to deliver the electrical architecture, functionality and connectivity of the sensors Skills Required: System design experience, in developing and delivering system requirements, and working with suppliers to deliver the required functionality on time and to budget System communication bus structures and an understanding of bus protocols such as CAN and Flexray Relevant and recent experience of hardware design and delivery to demanding schedules Experience Required: Previous experience with the design and delivery of Automotive Systems, Hardware, and Software End to end delivery of a product from conception through to delivery and end customer installation Working with suppliers on robust delivery plans Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred Full UK driving licence Strong organisational, project management and communication skills essential Experience Preferred: Previous experience of leading the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a project team environment Good working knowledge of Product Creation Delivery System (or similar delivery process) Requirements and change management tools and processes, version control, control strategy documentation Component and system level issue investigations including appropriate problem solving and reporting tools (Six Sigma, 5D, Is / Is Not, Fault Tree etc) You must be eligible to work in the UK to apply for this position
