We are Onomi, a Node 4 company. We are an explosive, well-funded specialist database services provider in the early stages of our lifecycle and we are revolutionising the market. We are now seeking a number of SQL Server DBAs with varying levels of experience to join our team in Nottingham.

If you are looking to join a disruptive, innovative company and make a real difference to customers, their needs and the way database services are thought of, this is the role you’ve been waiting for.

We’re seeking DBAs from all levels of experience to join our progressive team as we build an exceptional team. We’re already experts Oracle, SQL Server and MYSQL, and so if you’re looking to learn these exciting technologies or (better yet) can help us to expand our knowledge base, we’re looking to speak to you and for you to join us on our amazing journey.

As a SQL Server DBA, you will:

- Provide database administration support and consultancy services to customers
- Provide consultancy services and remote managed services
- Report in to company directors
- Help to develop and mentor junior members of the Technical Team once you gain enough experience
- Support company growth activities by aiding in the selection and hire of new recruits
- Provide an out-of-hours support service, typically one week in four on an on-call basis, however the workload is light and Node4 (the parent company) handles the majority of issues
- Work in conjunction with company security and operational processes

You’ll be working standard hours of 9 – 5.30, Monday to Friday but we’ll also need you to join our on-call rota one week in four.

To be considered as a SQL Server DBA, you will need:

- At least two years’ experience with SQL Server technologies including production management experience of critical databases
- Experience in high availability (HA) architectures and setting up back-up and recovery procedures

The desire and drive to learn more will put you ahead on the pack, as will some exposure to Azure and NoSQL technologies as this is the direction we are moving in. We also value candidates with experience of complex environments, such as virtualised / clustered systems.

What’s in it for you?

- A great set of benefits including private healthcare, free broadband and a great pension scheme
- The chance to do something different and work with a company making waves in the database services sector
- Plenty of great training and the chance to upskill
- Progression potential
