Application Support & Solutions Specialist required to join a global company in a challenging contract role. The successful candidate will be a proven Application Support Analyst who can demonstrate a track record of bespoke application support, SME on problem management, delivering solutions following RCA and being an autonomous POC for high priority application incidents.

This role is for a candidate keen on 'problem solving', on a 2nd line support team, of a Continuity Critical, Integrity Controlled global sales system. There are a number of other applications around this which you will also be required to support of a similar nature, but less support requirement. Due to the legacy of customisation and business change there is little to no documentation to depend on, therefore the ability to investigate, analyse, and document for future is a must have ability. Daily work mainly consists of Incident, Problem and request management for both internal users and external party's working at satellite locations. The production of support triage, request fulfilment documentation is also a task which the successful candidate would be asked to deliver.

This is a hands on support position that requires the skills of someone who has worked in a challenging and complex environment where they have learned and managed bespoke applications within a company and been able to demonstrate a quick turnaround on understanding the wider scope of the applications they support.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following;

- Ensure the proactive identification, ownership, management and communication of all incidents, problems and requests relating to the running applications within your area of responsibility, to expedite timely resolution and restoration of stable and complete application service to the satisfaction of the relevant business areas.

- Maintain expert understanding of the business use, support processes and application landscapes to enable contribution to a collaborative working partnership with the business, IT functions (central & local) and external vendors, which will support the management of the running application environment and enable your knowledgeable input to the future application strategy and change/enhancement topics as necessary.

- Implement and maintain processes for the management of the full service operation lifecycle for your applications, aligned with the business operating model: including production of regular statistical analyses and service performance reporting to support local IT and business units transparency of the running application services
