A Marketing Intern is required to join busy marketing department within a leading household brand based in Milton Keynes

Salary £20,000 - £22,000 per annum
Company Pension
28 days holiday inc. Bank holidays

This will be a support role in the coordination and implementation of channel marketing activity including administrative support for assigned brands/products across the UK trade channels.

*Supports Trade Marketing Manager with assigned projects e.g. advertising, promotions, shows & events, sampling, POS development etc., working under supervision and guidance to deliver against key objectives.
*Supports the development of creative briefs working with agency partners to deliver final concepts and deliverables including day to day contact and support, providing updates and reviews to Trade Marketing Manager.
*Proactively monitors key initiatives including collection of primary and secondary data to highlight effectiveness. Supports the Trade Marketing Manager in writing reports which measures success, including recommendations on improvements.
*Prepares monthly business reviews for presentation to Trade Marketing Manager & Head of Marketing.
*Supports presenting plans at sales meetings.
*Supports Trade Marketing Manager and works cross-functionally to assist in the launch of new product and SKUs including coordination of artwork, claim support documentation and approval of all communications through Quality Assurance, R&D and Legal teams.
*Assist the Trade Marketing Manager are stakeholders in the review of product performance post launch to determine success.
*Perform other related activities as needed to support corporate objectives. Act in the best interest of the company by applying stated corporate values and priorities to all communications, decisions, and actions.

*Knowledge of basic marketing principles and the four P's and how to manipulate the levers of each one to optimize promotional programs and brand performance.
*Basic understanding of market research methods to support development of shopper/end user insights for business use.
*Able to consolidate and present research data meaningfully
*Basic understanding of market profiling in product categories and relevant channels
*Competent in mathematical calculations, formulas, and basic statistics.
*Able to interact with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, R&D and other functional groups who must participate in the development and introduction of key initiatives.
*Able to develop project management skills across a wide range of complexity and timelines
*Able to establish functional partnerships/relationships with sales individuals and teams to 'sell-in' programs and knows how to actively listen with the intent of being influenced to understand market and customer dynamics and how we can leverage opportunities
*Proficient knowledge of Internet/Intranet use, MS office applications, mobile applications, etc. ideal if also has some working knowledge of Adobe suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Master Control
