SF Group are currently recruiting an experienced QBE or part/qualified accountant to join a well established (50 years) SME service business based in Warwick.

This is a varied finance role, duties and responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of one Finance Assistant
  • Full responsibility for the Accounts function
  • Being the key point of contact for external auditors
  • Monthly payroll and pension administration
  • Reviewing income reports and reconciliation of commission/fee income
  • Banking function - Insurer settlements; Client receipts; Supplier payments; Inter-company transfers and bank account reconciliations
  • Management of petty cash & credit cards
  • Day to day accounts duties including Journal entries; Pre-payments & Accruals; Fixed assets & Depreciation; General accounts queries
  • Review Debtor reports and oversee credit control
  • Purchase ledger - Supplier invoices and payments
  • Provide detailed Management Accounts within agreed timescales to include variance analysis

Skills & experience required:

  • Minimum 3 -5 years recent experience in a similar role
  • Part or qualified AAT, ACCA, ACA or QBE
  • Professional and organised approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • You will have good IT skills and have experience in using Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll and a good general level of Excel

Person requirements:
People with likeable personalities who can fit in with a small team are sought. You should be used to dealing with SME environments, including full exposure to management accounting procedures. The ideal candidate will be qualified but this is not essential, experience is more valuable than qualifications to us, as is a hard working ethic and a can-do attitude.
