Permanent Business Systems Analyst based in Chatteris

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Salary: Competitive

An exciting Business System Analyst has arisen within an established company in Chatteris.

The successful candidate will be professional, enthusiastic and highly organised individual who will work with managers, staff and third party suppliers to support the business systems, information flow and ensure the system requirements of the business are met.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Business Systems Manager within the ICT department and will be expected to be confident using a variety of databases, as well as have the skills to build good working relationships with senior management. The candidate will need to be extremely organised, have the passion and drive for delivering solutions and proactive in terms of being self-aware and current with new, emerging technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity for a first class Business Analyst to play an integral part in managing the company's business systems, providing knowledge of new information systems.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Help to develop, evolve and deliver a Strategic and Business aligned ERP system and support service.
  • Work alongside key business stakeholders to identify information and reporting requirements, create proposals and deliver timely and effective solutions.
  • Ensure provision of a suitably aligned Infrastructure and Communication network to meet the growing demands of the business as well as own.
  • Seek to exploit current and new I.C.T. applications and support services
  • Develop, evolve and monitor I.C.T. performance measures with regular reporting to the business.
  • Support and challenge operational/commercial initiatives through effective Information / process solutions.
  • Seek best practice solutions and identify new ways of working to improve ERP system use throughout the business.
  • Develop and enhance existing reports to match business needs, implementing forward looking measures, balanced scorecards, KPI's, email alerting and generally getting the system to deliver timely, relevant, accurate information to key managers
  • Part of the ICT team to support adhoc information and development requests
  • Ensure any development is fully tested and fit for purpose before delivering to the business

Candidate Requirements:


  • A qualification at degree or postgraduate level in computer science, business information systems or computing and systems development


  • High level of knowledge of Crystal Reporting software
  • IT and numeracy literate with ERP experience
  • Pro-active
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Logical thinker and problem solver
