Vendor Manager - Finance

My client who are one of the UK's leading telecommunication companies are looking for a Vendor Manager to join their team on an initial 3month contract based in Newbury.

The ideal candidate will have previously managed Vendors in a Finance Environment, dealing with Vendor Payment Escalations, resolving vendor issues that are stopping payments, Accounts Payable and Vendor Management would be a great advantage
  • Daily management of vendor disputes and escalations related to unpaid bills
  • Timely resolution of vendor disputes
  • Working with different business units and coordinating activities bringing vendor escalations to resolution
  • Highlighting any anomalies and discrepancies in P2P process
  • Stakeholder management
  • Regular involvement with vendors related to invoicing standards, purchasing policy, account reconciliations and any other P2P activities that might be necessary to manage vendor relationship
  • Active participation in projects, meetings and improvement initiatives

Required skills/experiences:
  • AP/Vendor management experience
  • Stakeholder management

Desired skills:
  • Working knowledge of SAP (AP and/or procurement)
  • Finance education/background
