A single sex SEN school in South East London is welcoming applications from experienced Art Teachers to take on a full-time role ASAP.

This is a full-time Art Teaching position with several classes of Food Technology included in the timetable. This is a small school where all students have a statement of special educational needs/individual EHCP. The majority of students display learning difficulties associated with Autism, EBD or ADHD and require targeted, specialist support to ensure they have the opportunity to reach their full learning potential. Given the small nature of the school, the successful teacher will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all Art and Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4. There is a particularly able GCSE Art cohort and class sizes are set at a maximum of 8 students.

This role would suit an experienced Secondary Art/Food Technology Teacher who has previously taught in a similar setting or an SEN capacity within a mainstream school. A comprehensive understanding of how to differentiate for EBD, Autistic and ADHD learners is essential. There are 6-8 students in each class therefore the successful candidate will need to be comfortable teaching across the Art curriculum including several Food Technology lessons per week.

The role is to start ASAP running until the 20th July 2018. The school is located near a Southeastern Rail station and has on-street parking.
