The Role – Finance Assistant

Key responsibilities

Purchase Ledger Duties

·Inputting into the purchase ledger from source documents

·Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and supplier statements

·Dealing with supplier queries

Sales Ledger Duties

·Generating sales invoices

·Responsible for overall AR ledger

·Chasing outstanding debts

Job administration

·Support client services team with their job administration

·Monitor job performance and feedback results to the FD weekly

General Finance Duties

·Generation of purchase orders for administration items

·Processing and reconciling petty cash accounts

·Processing and reconciling credit card statements

·Processing staff expenses

·Help to complete the management accounts pack, including prepayments and fixed assets

·Preparation of spreadsheets, and reports as and when requested

·Assisting in the maintenance of the timesheet system

Other support duties

·Provide ad hoc support as required to help the smooth operational running of the office

Experience & Skills

·Good IT skills including advanced excel skills

·Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person

·Strong attention to detail, especially numerical

·Integrity and understanding of care needed with sensitive information

·Ability to plan, organise and manage own workload

·Self motivated and enthusiastic
