As a Maths Graduate teaching assistant you must have a passion for education. You will be an aspiring maths teacher who is determined to pass on their extensive knowledge of Mathematics to a future generation. You must have graduated with a 2:2 or higher in your Maths degree and have strong A-Level grades especially in Maths related subjects. You must have the ability to empathise with students who may need a helping hand to reach their full potential as well as maintaining a resilient nature.
In this role you will be required to work with students within the Maths department including lower ability. You must hold booster sessions for GCSE Maths students who need extra support to reach the critical 5+ grade. You must be able to provide both academic and pastoral support, keeping all students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds motivated throughout the exam period.
