Our client, a highly commercial and fast paced organisation based in Harrogate is looking for a dynamic Financial Accountant to join their business. You will be working with management to help make upper level management decisions.

This is an exciting opportunity to become an inegeral part of the finance team of this growing group. They are looking for a dynamic individual who can bring improvements and drive positive change through the business. This is a role which will require strong commerical acumen to drive business imporvement as such you will not be chained to the desk and will be expected to regularly meet with commercial managers across the business. You will have responsibility for managing a team that is expected to grow.

Responsibilities will include:-

    Taking the lead on processing period end accounts including month end, quarter end and year endStatutory reporting and consolidationCompletion of VAT and other regulatory returnsGroup reporting and consolidationCapital reportingCompletion of working capital and cash flow forecasting and reportingSupport site in completion of accurate forecasting and budgeting at detailed reporting line levelLooking at current processes, procedures and systems, recommending and documenting any improvements and/or enhancements that can be implementedMaintain the financial health of the organisationAssist the Financial Controller with presentations to the boardCommunicating financial information to non-financial managersProvide a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help with financial decisionsLiaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintainedReconciliation of key balance sheet accountsAssist with year-end audits
The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified ideally from a practice background - Ideally Big 4 or Top 10 trained with experience of relevant financial operating systems essential with Sage 200 and advanced excel skills.
