I am currently recruiting for a HIU Engineer to work across 4 buildings in the South East of London. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door of a well established company, working on a permanent basis Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm. This opportunity is paying a salary of up to 25k. With overtime opportunities.
The company is currently looking for a flexible, reliable HIU engineer who is self-motivated, hardworking and able to work using their own initiative as part of a growing team.
The engineer should possess good technical and practical skills and be someone who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional teams, assisting in all aspects of the operation and maintenance of the company’s assets.
Ideally you will have experience as a maintenance engineer having worked with M&E building services systems.
The candidate will be expected to undertake regular training and update training to enhance their skills.
The heating systems operate 24hr per day, 7 days per week, so the candidate will be expected to be able to work out of normal working hours, if required, for reactive or pre-planned maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:·To service and repair HIU installations as part of a PPM system·To service and repair HIU installations through reactive works·Commissioning of HIU installations·To repair pipe work and work on associated fixtures and fittings·To replace meters within the HIU·To carry out minor electrical repairs within the confines of the HIU·To deliver excellent customer service·Attend callouts when required·Work with computerised asset management system.·Work on a call out rota
Essential·Strong communication skills ·Excellent customer facing skills·Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills. ·To interface with the residential clients in the apartments in a respectful manner. ·To be able to work under pressure with a clear prospective. ·Ability to work to meet strict deadlines. ·2 years plumbing experience – Preferably ·Unvented hot water certificate·City & Guilds level 2 in plumbing and heating or relevant experience·Full UK driving license·Good time keeping, punctuality is vital·Customer communication skills·Reporting on tablets and spread sheets·Problem solving
