Would you like to work as part of a growing specialist Technical Consultancy team in a hugely successful and specialist software provider based in Bristol? You may have a background in IT support, software release and deployment and/or service delivery but are looking long term to build your experience in order to progress into a full Consultant role.

We're working with a market leading developer of application software and implementation services to the global healthcare insurance sector on this fantastic new opportunity. We are looking for a Technical Specialist to work alongside and support their Technical Consultants by providing technical expertise to internal pre-sales and consultancy teams in the deployment and usage of their software systems to clients.

This new role will be based in the Bristol head office and will see you working closely with the Technical and Functional Consultants, as well as have you liaising with the Sales, Product, Development and Infrastructure teams.

You will help to ensure the successful design, release, delivery and installation of software for our client. You will contribute to definition of infrastructure architecture including software, hardware and network requirements. As part of the cross-functional release management team, you’ll be responsible for installation and configuration of system in multiple environments. You will participate and lead in release meetings and communications, undertake the QA of releases, as well as developing and maintaining the key technical information

As you’ll be collaborating with key internal stakeholders on a daily basis, you’ll be a very pro -active, confident individual, with excellent communication skills. Ideally your background will be in software development or deployment, potentially support or service delivery, and you already have some experience of webservices, SOA, configuring services and applications (the team work with Microsoft technologies, networks/platforms, SQL server etc.) and have some exposure to working in Agile development methodologies. A natural problem solver, you enjoy investigating, troubleshooting and resolving issues. You will also have good working knowledge of PowerShell.
