Our client is seeking a Compliance Officer / Compliance Auditor to support the implementation and maintenance of their risk management policy and more specifically their debt recovery team, to ensure that the team is compliant with Financial Conduct Authority, Ofcom, CSA and other regulatory requirements.

Principle Responsibilities:

·Conducting internal audits to show that the debt recovery team are compliant with regulatory codes and legislative guidance set by the FCA, CSA, Ofcom and FOS

·Ensure that Quality Assurance checks are effective, and any weaknesses are identified and addressed

·Review policies and procedures within the debt team and ensure they are up to date and compliant

·Delivering and providing training to the team to keep them informed of regulatory and policy changes that will impact the team

·Contribute to projects to support regulatory changes e.g. General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and providing guidance on compliance

·Working with the Head of Department on audits to address areas of high risk and to provide clear management reports

·Ensure incidents are properly investigated and recorded

·Respond to complaints appropriately and within the set timescales

·Respond to requests for information under the Data Protection Act

·Review workflows within debt recovery to ensure compliance

·Update training materials and carry out monthly sessions with Team Leaders and Agents to ensure consistency

Skills required:

·Proven experience with FCA, Ofcom, CSA and other regulatory requirements

·A confident and assertive communicator, who can work well alone or in a team

·Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word and Excel

·Ability to develop strong and effective working relationships at all levels with clients, colleagues and third parties; able to adapt communication style to different audiences
