An Analyst Programmer is required to join an established team based in Sutton Coldfield. The Analyst Programmer will be required to take an active role on a long-term project focusing on the transition to scalable web-based applications.

As part of the established team the Analyst Programmer will be responsible for:

• Providing high level support to users with bugs and issues

• Ensuring the existing platform is reliable and improving the user experience

• Developing new and customising existing functionality for a market leading product.

• Developing Windows and Web applications using C# and / with SQL Server Databases.

• Participating in SCRUM ceremonies; contributing to software planning and design.

• Ensure that projects remain on target, working with the SCRUM Master to identify and resolve impediments as part of a well-formed SCRUM team.

The ideal candidate for the Analyst Programmer role will have:

• Demonstrable experience developing .Net applications in either C# or VB.Net.

• Experience of working with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (Angular JS)

• SQL Server experience with a sound understanding of relational database design.

• Knowledge and experience of writing unit tests.

• Understanding of SOLID design principles.

• Ability to work within established coding standards and tools.

• Previous exposure to working within a SCRUM team.

It would be beneficial to have:

• Understanding of MongoDB and other similar database architectures.

• Knowledge and experience of MVC.

• Experience with test driven development.

• Good understanding of Software Design Patterns.

• Knowledge and/or experience of GIT, Octopus Deploy and Team City.

• Previous experience with Third-line/Helpdesk activities.
