Job Title: Diesel Locomotive Fitter – Rolling Stock Location: Derby Duration: 6 months initial contract Interviews/Start date: Immediate start “Wanted! We have a requirement for an experienced Diesel Locomotive Fitter to carry out overhauls for one of Derby’s rolling stock specialists” ATA are currently working with multiple Rolling Stock clients across the UK, this one is well known for their engineering operations in the heart of Derby. Our client specialise in overhauls, maintenance and servicing of passenger trains, locomotives and freight wagons for their established customers. The Candidate: You have certainly come to the right place if you are looking for your next long-term contract! Our client requires three highly experienced rolling stock Diesel Locomotive Fitters who can perform overhauls on a fleet of trains ideally with a background of working on MK1, MK2 and Locomotives. If you have an engine fitting background from the Forces or a sector of a similar nature I would encourage you to get in touch as this could be the perfect first step in to rolling stock! The Role: As part of a team of Diesel Engine Fitters you will be entrusted to carry out engine changes from strip downs, rebuilds and exams to the customers satisfaction. Requirements: To be considered for this role you will be required to send an up to date CV detailing your Diesel Engine Fitter background, be available for a telephone conversation with a member of ATA to discuss your experience and the opportunity, be available for an interview with the client, hold a Level 3 NVQ / C&G or full Apprenticeship certificate in engineering. Salary: £15 - £18 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday - 7am to 3.30pm (standard core hours) plus midweek and weekend overtime at the managements discretion.
