We are seeking an experienced Project Manager. The role would suit a person who is looking for a challenging and dynamic position within a busy Engineering business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of large projects mainly in the Food and Water Industries - ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget

Main duties to include:

Must have strong Project Management skills

Must be articulate and have excellent communication skills

Manage customer's technical and scheduling issues in the form of Technical Data sheets/GA and component drawings

Ensure the specified projects deliver the engineering requirements, to the agreed standards and specifications


Working to get the best price on materials & equipment


Liaise with the works Manager and Foreman to ensure internal delivery requirements are achieved


Ensuring that client relationships are maintained and developed

Implement and support Continuous Improvement, establishing and including lessons learnt post delivery of project

Attend internal and external kick-off meetings with customers


Interpret the project needs and requirements


Complete report writing and specification requirements


Delivering the project in line with budget and time constraints


Manage shop floor and site teams.


Assist in preparation of contract documents, specifications and commercial estimates.
Producing RAMS documents within agreed time-scales.

Skills and Qualifications:

Project Management experience within a highly regulated environment and successful completion of projects, tracking and reporting on constraints, alone and as part of a team.

Able to deal with the workload in a fast paced, changing environment.

Good working Knowledge of Autocad

Good computer IT Skills (various packages such as Word, Excel)

Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to work in close partnership with clients and end users.

Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives

2 years' minimum as a Project Manager (or similar role) preferably within the Food or Water industries

Full UK driving license

The role will include liaising with the Managing Director, Operations Director, Works Manager and Works Foreperson. It is also essential that they can communicate well with other members of staff in the office and on the factory floor.

Hours – Monday to Thursday 7.30am -16.30pm Friday 7.30am -12.30pm
