Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Assessor/ QCF/NVQ Assessor Due to expansion, we are seeking freelance and employed Apprenticeship Assessors to assess learners undertaking Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools (STLS) level 2 &3 across England. We are currently working with schools in your local region to assess learners enrolled on Level 2 and 3 STLS apprenticeship qualifications. You will be based from home supporting learners in your local area through the full apprenticeship framework with embedded Functional Skills. You would be covering a geographic region 30-40 miles from your home address, so this position does require your own transport and a full driving licence. You will receive a highly competitive salary of up to £25000, business mileage of 40p/mile, 20 days, plus statutory holidays. You will also qualify for the company pension scheme, laptop, mobile and other benefits. As a freelance assessor, we pay a flat rate per portfolio which is divided up into monthly payments depending on the length of stay. Within this role as a QCF/NVQ Assessor you will also be supporting learners with information and guidance, enrolment of learners and working to specific quality and completion targets. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required for the NVQ Assessor: - Create and maintain an efficient work plan, practicing effective time management and cost effectiveness. - Present to the learners and their management structure the principles and any changes to the Apprenticeship programme. - Set and review progressive training objectives. Mentor and assess learners in the workplace. - To facilitate and ensure successful completion of all aspects of the framework, including Functional Skills. - Manage relationships with learners to ensure they are enthusiastic and motivated at all times. - Maintain accurate records and complete funding documents such as visit plans and reviews in a timely manner. - Attend regular standardisation training sessions and meetings. - Develop and update assessment materials and resources as required by the Line Manager. - Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment - Assessor Qualified, A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent - PTLLS or other teaching qualification would be desirable - Functional Skills at Level 2 or equivalent - Experienced of assessing apprenticeship Qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS) is desirableand have occupational competency in the delivery of STLS - Experience of delivering/assessing Functional Skills - You must be comfortable working with a range of IT packages as we utilise an e-portfolio system and actively promote the use of technology in gathering evidence.
