As well as the day-to-day activities, a big piece of project work has presented itself within the Bank to migrate our services into the cloud. This role will require the successful applicant to technically lead a team of 4 DevOps Engineers and steer them to deliver the integration of this project. You should ideally have experience with Stakeholder engagement and managerial responsibilities. You should also have built and supported Cloud platforms and complex multi-tiered, infrastructure environments.
Working within an Agile/Scrum/Devops/Cloud environment you would be responsible for:
- Building, managing and developing a team of Mobile DevOps Engineers
- Determining the DevOps strategy alongside the DevOps Support Manager
- Buliding detailed technical design and impact assessments
- Building of new and existing applications on Cloud
- Testing environment build, support & issue resolution
- Seamless DevOps delivery of infrastructure change from development through to production
- Cloud technologies: OpenShift, Docker
- Deploying and configuring JBOSS or Websphere
- Strong Jenkins experience managing continuous integration
- Strong scripting and integration skills (eg shell, python, chef, perl etc)
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Nexus, GIT, Stash, Confluence, JIRA, Kubernetes
- Good database knowledge and SQL skills (on an enterprise database such as Oracle)
- Red Hat Linux
- Working with mobile phone applications
