Business/ Technical Analyst

Job Purpose:

To enhance, maintain and create project, team and task oriented collaboration workflow platforms

To maintain process and procedure documentation/ process security findings

To produce internal and external reporting and metrics, by collating and reusing data available within the business to agreed timescales

To provide high quality reporting that is in an easily understandable format to appropriate individuals

To maintain Team sharepoint sites

To support the management of audit and regulatory evidence requests for PCI DSS, ISAE, SOX and other regulatory institutions.

Role and responsibilities

  • Creation, maintaining and enhancements of datasets and dashboards to be used for reporting and insights
  • Source, collect and manipulate both internal and external data to provide reporting for the business to use in day to day operations
  • Ensure BAU reporting is run within agreed timescales and is accurate
  • To support the work to develop, review and re-engineer as appropriate, processes and work flow to ensure efficiency of operation and enhance data quality processes and team effectiveness
  • Produce regular and adhoc reporting on a variety of metrics
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are adequately documented to audit and regulatory standards
  • Production of external statutory reports
  • To liaise effectively with appropriate Information Security staff to validate and check data consistency
  • Support/ document product tool evaluations and requirements analysis for Security projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Proficient in all MS Office 365 Products but with expert skills in SharePoint, Excel and, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Relevant IT and developer skills, including SQL, Excel Macro, Pivot tables
  • Experience of manipulating and interrogating large and complex datasets, with a good working knowledge of BI/database tools and management information software packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey often complex information in simple and straightforward terms to various stakeholders and senior executive management
  • Evidence of flexibility, the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outputs in line with both agreed objectives and timescale
  • Proven ability to create SharePoint sites and develop process flows and track requirements.
  • Proven ability to produce, interpret, analyse and present clearly and concisely, complex information and data from a range of sources and for use by a variety of audiences together with experience of providing management information and expert analysis to support planning and decision making
  • Ability to document and review processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting is produced
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification or experience
  • Ability to understand business concepts
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act and GDPR
  • Understanding of Cyber Security [especially Ethical Hacking and Vulnerability Management] would be an advantage.
