An experienced Senior Costs Lawyer/Draftsman is wanted to hit the ground running on department with a highly-regarded specialist claimant costs firm. A challenging and varied opportunity the Senior Costs Draftsman will be responsible for a range of high value matters to include Clinical negligence and/or Commercial litigation.
Applications are invited from successful Costs Lawyers with a combination of strong technical skills ideally with 3 years PQE. This is an excellent Manchester based opportunity with a competitive package on offer D.O.E.
The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running in a productive environment, providing dedicated costs support for litigation lawyers across several UK based offices. Responsible for the management of a personal caseload the individual will be drafting points of dispute, replies, schedules of costs, bills of costs/budgets, negotiating costs to settlement and by the provision of additional supporting services such as drafting budgets and attending CCMC. The successful applicant will have a full understanding of the CPR and must be a good negotiator. Experience of advocacy would be beneficial but not essential.
