Manufacturing Engineering Manager Coleshill, Warwickshire 45k-55k +25 days holiday, Pension, life Assurance The Role * To manage a team focused on delivering a robust and effective manufacturing and production test systems, with the flexibility to support rapid new product introduction. * Work with engineering and the quality team to ensure all active products have full current manufacturing data packs. * Advise Design for Test (DFT). Ensure products are value engineered to provide competitive advantage. * Work with Design Engineering to implement a product text process to ensure cost effective quality of new products. * Establish and maintain an engineering change system to effectively manage the implementation of these changes into production. * Manage and maintain test equipment, ensure preventative maintenance rather than reactive. * Support design engineering by ensuring that the team members are formally assigned and planned into projects from the outset. Ensure the early participation of the key suppliers. * Ensure tooling and other capital equipment is managed and maintained throughout its life cycle for both the facility and all outsourced partners. * Document all processes involved in operations engineering, use the continuous improvement techniques to reduce waste, increase productivity and improve quality. * Oversee the management of Customer concerns, from initial problem reporting through to problem resolution using problem solving techniques such as 8D, 5 Why and fishbone diagrams. * Promote the use of APQP documentation (PFMEA, PPAP and control plans). * Responsibility for all plant, machinery and facilities and their maintenance and improvement for the Coleshill site. * Ensure all quality data is captured, analysed against targets and oversee corrective actions and or improvement projects when targets are not achieved. * Oversee the completion of Risk Assessments for new processes and or equipment. * Ensure at Coleshill facility on-going compliance with legal requirements and regulations (COSHH, ROHS, REACH) etc. The Person: * Substantial manufacturing operations experience 2+ years of which will have been at manufacturing manager level * Knowledge of electronics manufacturing environments * Strong people manager â€" capable of developing and growing a team * Familiar with lean manufacturing environments * Familiar with implementing manufacturing best practice * Familiar with ISO quality procedures * Strong team player and capable of working to deadlines * Strong communicator * Educated to Degree/HND in electronics or related discipline / experience Desirable Skills: * Knowledge of telematics industry
