About us Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it. Our Crisis Skylight Brent is one of our new services and has grown significantly over the last year. It is working very closely with the local authority and community groups in delivering innovative and impactful services.  Crisis Skylight Brent offer one to one support around goal setting, work & learning, wellbeing & mental health and housing. We also have a number of courses, groups and classes to support our members in these areas as well as offering practical information, advice, guidance, advocacy and signposting to specialist services About the role As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will ensure the efficient running of all volunteering activities in Brent. Coordinating volunteer recruitment and ensuring volunteers are fully utilised in order to help achieve Crisis Skylight Brent’s aims and objectives as well as supporting Crisis members to access volunteering opportunities elsewhere and influence how the service is run.  You will also work with the national Volunteer Manager in the implementation of the Crisis Volunteering Strategy and Business Plan, thus ensuring the spread of good practice in all aspects of volunteering across Crisis. About you To be successful in this role you will have an experience of coordinating volunteers and an understanding of volunteers’ motivations and the benefits they bring to Crisis. You will also have the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues, volunteers and external partners and confident in providing advice and guidance to others around policy, procedure and good practice.
