The employer is a global manufacturer of technically advanced specialty materials and complex components, their largest market is aerospace & defence, particularly jet engines, also have a strong presence in the oil & gas, electrical energy, medical, automotive, and other industrial markets.

Job description:

·Learn to provide mechanical engineering functions, such as laser cutting and CNC machine programming, as needed to support operating department needs.

·Learn how to coordinate with plant maintenance and equipment operators to work to customer deadlines and specifications

·Be shown how the execution of continuous improvement & safety projects at the operations level while adhering to Plant Engineering Processes, as part of health and safety policy

·Have exposure to the sales department, to understand the full processes involved in the customer experience.

Please note:

All Training will be provided by Lema Academy in Birmingham where you can achieve you level 1, 2 and 3 in Engineering.

The apprenticeship can allow you to progress through the academic route and ultimately get a degree in engineering. However just having the apprenticeship alone provides a fantastic stepping stone for your
career and will enhance your opportunities in the engineering world.
