Application Support Engineer



We are currently recruiting for an Application Support Engineer to join a market leading software company in Covgentry. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a growing organisation. You will be working within a 5 person team, supporting customers daily.


The role:
  • Ensure all escalated tickets are responded to and resolved in accordance with OLA/SLA.
  • Internal escalation point for urgent tickets to be handled by team.
  • Manage and maintain application support documentation, ensuring content is relevant and up to date.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues as required.
  • Provide remote support to external customers to identify and resolve any application related technical issue.
  • Understand key elements of both problem and incident management.
  • Undertake specific project activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with IT Security standards / procedures, the Data Protection Act, PCI DSS and GDPR regulations.
  • Technical expertise, specifically strong T-SQL skills, web application support skills, and an analytical approach to problem solving.
Essential Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A willingness and capacity to learn the inner workings of a bespoke application.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Microsoft Office Knowledge (SharePoint, Excel etc.)
  • Technical expertise, specifically strong T-SQL skills, web application support skills, and an analytical approach to problem solving
  • Work to existing processes, and ability to suggest and help drive improvements.
  • Experience in creating excellent documentation, and ability to share knowledge with others.
