Media and Communications Officer
Minimum salary: £22,425 Maximum salary: £25,425 London weighting: £3,575 Pro rata: No Hours: 36 hours per week Location: London Closing date: Wednesday, 24 January, 2018 - 17:00 Interview date: Thursday, 1 February, 2018 We are looking for a media and communications professional to join our dynamic and successful communications and public affairs division. You will be a personable team player who is able to juggle multiple priorities, think well on your feet and work collaboratively with colleagues from across the organisation. In this role you will be helping to raise the profile of The Fostering Network and fostering through the media - developing proactive media campaigns, pitching stories to the media and assisting in providing a reactive press office service. You will play a key role in developing our social media presence, as well as writing for other channels, such as our website and magazine. You will also be leading projects, such as our Sons and Daughters Month. You will have had good practical experience of working with the media, and an understanding of how the media works at UK, national, regional and trade levels. You will have knowledge and experience of using digital communications and social media to communicate organisational messages to a range of stakeholders. You will also have experience of writing about complex issues in a way that is interesting for a range of audiences. Interviews will take place in London SE1 on 1 and 2 February 2018.
