As the leader of this fast-paced team, you’ll have the chance to drive our ongoing success by maximising income and loyalty from our individual supporter base, as well as our community and challenge events.  So, if you’re looking for the opportunity to challenge yourself, put your creativity to the test and make your mark with an innovative charity, we would love to hear from you.  Your Role:  As the Head of Public Fundraising, you will lead our Public Fundraising function to achieve all targets (£19.5m gross in 2018) and maximise income in-line with our strategy.  Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, you will manage the development and delivery of our Public Fundraising strategy and contribute to the charity’s overall fundraising strategy.  Specifically, you will:  - Oversee our Supporter Insight, Care & Innovation, Direct Marketing and Community and Challenge Teams  - Achieve all targets and deliver exemplary donor care  - Propose and manage a customer contact strategy utilising research, insight, segmentation and donor profiles  - Enable the collection and management of supporter information on the fundraising database  - Set, manage and monitor the Public Fundraising budget  - Help your team to introduce new products to the Public Fundraising portfolio  About You:  To join us as the Head of Public Fundraising, you’ll need to be committed to the vision, mission and values of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Experience of the following is also key:  - Developing and implementing a public fundraising strategy and plan across all channels/products to scale, including direct marketing  - Working in a senior role in a consumer marketing environment  - Developing new products, events or services using customer and/or donor insight  - Database marketing and/or customer segmentation to target customers  - Developing holistic supporter communications strategies to deliver demonstrable income growth  - Strategic planning, budgeting, benchmarking and monitoring performance across multiple channels, products and audiences, including managing eight figure income streams  - Leading and line-managing teams of at least 20  - Managing multiple projects, relationships and deadlines, including major supplier relationships at the highest level  - MS Office, including advanced Excel skills  Ideally, you’ll be a member of a professional body, such as CIM, IOF or IDM. Experience of charity marketing would be beneficial, as would experience of developing mass participation products and events.
