We are looking for someone to manage the financial and HR side of a small but well established and busy engineering company based near Chichester. You will be responsible for the ordinary day-to-day processing duties as well as be able to advise and inform on the bigger picture. This is a unique opportunity for someone who can demonstrate a wide variety of skills, a can-do attitude and understand the importance of team work. You will be as equally comfortable helping out in other areas of operation if the need arises as you will be at forecasting and analysing data and reporting at management level. • Produce complete and accurate month end information including cash flow forecasts • Participate in forecasting and budgeting • Liaise with external accountants • Quarterly VAT returns (Currently outsourced) • Monthly payroll processing, employee payments, PAYE, Pensions/NEST (Currently outsourced) • Raise and issue payments • Lead annual insurance policy renewals • Reviewing cost base for savings and work proactively to improve processes • Financial and business analysis • Purchasing experience and supplier management • IT systems management • HR management • Support to the MD and other members of the management team as required • Monthly bank reconciliations Skills & Personal Qualities • Customer focused with good commercial acumen • Advanced Excel skills • Sage 50 Accounts • Payroll and Sage processing • Ability to use initiative and manage own time, multi-task and deal with changing priorities • Good communication skills • Forge relationships with internal clients and external parties • Detail oriented • Team player Salary & Benefits 1. Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience 2. 25 days leave per year 3. 1 day birthday leave 4. Generous Company pension scheme
