dunnhumby is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our growing London office to act as the Product Owner for dunnhumy’s Shelf Review. Shelf Review monitors, evaluates and provides recommendations for product assortments using actual customer purchasing behaviour.

The Product Manager will work closely with the senior commercial product team to understand and prioritise development requirements and work in close collaboration to create key deliverables and technical objectives.

As a Product Manager for Shelf Review you will be expected to have a broad understanding of current issues and the competitive landscape in the Retail and CPG industry to enable you to identify opportunities and threats for dunnhumby. You will also work closely with our clients to gain an in depth understanding of their current issues and anticipated problems and will analyse metrics that inform success of the product (e.g. usage data from Google Analytics).

The Product Manager is also responsible for:

    Create and own the product backlog in including ownership of story level sprint backlogsLead user story creation and estimation sessionsWork with Senior Commercial Product Manager to prioritise the detailed product backlog working with technical teams to ensure sprint level releases are aligned to the strategic product roadmapDocument requirements: write user stories ensuring that conditions of acceptance are well defined and are created in accordance with Business Driven Development (BDD) criteria and best practiceSupport Development: Discuss requirements with development providing business context, making feature and design trade-offs, performing test and sprint reviews – escalating where necessary to the Senior Commercial Product ManagerRoll out and trials: Managing the role out of the product within the business e.g. system and process updates, communications and training to all appropriate areas (e.g. support) Managing internal and external trialsSupport the Learning team to produce training and education materials for internal and external upskillingProviding input to Senior Commercial Product Manager to build a clear RoadmapWork with project managers and technical teams to produce cost estimates for business casesDevelop a good understanding of the business model and drivers as well as predicting and subsequently evaluating the impact of product changesHave direct dialogue with your target users at our clients. Understand in depth their current issues and anticipated problemsRun research on your existing users. Support the Senior Commercial Product Manager to gather feedback from sales, support and other channels including Win/Loss analysis.
Key skills and experience:
  • Certified Agile Product Owner
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any subject
  • Previous experience in a retail environment would be an advantage
  • Proven experience of working within an agile environment
