A new and exciting position within a long established and flexible company supplying goods in multiple product areas to most of the retailers on the high street. A varied and interesting role where two days will never be the same. You will be managing the supply base to ensure that goods are produced and available on demand for dedicated customers, managing the stock requirement at line level to ensure continuous supply whilst minimising risk. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Work daily with Suppliers in Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan and Europe to maximise stock availability to customers against sales and intake plans. Liaising closely with internal departments to ensure that availability is ensured on time. • Produce and manage intake plans considering current stock base, lead time, demand forecasts, promotional activity, supplier reliability and stock holding strategy – heavy excel/spreadsheet bias • Work with customers to review line level planning and forecasts to ensure sales are maximised for all parties, •Identifying opportunity for improvement and problem solving. •Have regular contact with suppliers, customers and colleagues to resolve day to day logistics issues and proactively improve processes. •Participating in projects to develop and enhance processes and systems. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED •Minimum of 18 months experience gained within a merchandising/planning/stock management environment •Able to plan forward and rationalise previous performance. •You will be working to tight deadlines and work well under pressure. •Resilient and able to work in a team environment •You will be naturally numerate, analytical and computer literate (a thorough understanding of Excel is a necessity as majority of work is spreadsheet based) BENEFITS The company offer a supportive and friendly working environment where you will be working proactively within a team. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9 -5.30 with flexibility offered on start and finish times. Holidays are 20 days which rise with length of service to 25 days
