Flourish Education is currently recruiting for an experienced KS2 teacher to work in this lovely Catholic School within the Black Country area. The school, rated as good by OFSTED, is recruiting as part of their pupil premium budget. They have a fantastic staff team that are friendly and supportive. This is a full time position that is due to begin as soon as possible and last until the end of the academic year. It is full time, 5 days per week and the best thing is that planning will be minimal! You will be based in Year 6 and work alongside the current class teacher, taking small intervention groups to help children work towards their SATS targets in Maths and English. To apply to this role you will need the following * Hold the QTS qualification * Have experience of working in a UK classroom * Have KS2 experience, ideally in Year 6 * Excellent behaviour management * Strong teaching references to cover the past two years * A completed NQT induction * An excellent understanding of the Year 6 Maths and English curriculum and ideally the new SATS framework Responsibilities * Responsible for working in small groups helping to raise levels of children about to take the SATS test * Cover the class in the afternoons whilst the teacher takes out small intervention groups of their own * Manage the teaching assistant in the classroom * Limited planning alongside the current teacher * Marking work and agreeing targets and next steps * Support the Catholic Ethos The Benefits * Pay rate of up to £175 per day * Pension * Holiday Pay * PAYE and Umbrella payment options * Continued professional development * Work with a family run agency that counts you as a number not just an individual Legal All candidates are subject to an enhanced DBS, references and Barred checks.
