Prospect Hospice provides a broad range of End of Life Care services across Swindon and North East Wiltshire. Our care is delivered in our 16 bed In-Patient Unit, Day Hospice, Great Western Hospital and patients’ homes.  The Hospice has an outstanding local reputation and is committed to ensuring that the patients and families we provide comfort and care for each year continue to receive an exceptional level of support towards the end of their lives as well as helping to influence and enhance best practice in End of Life Care with other providers. We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant who will be responsible for the timely and accurate production of all financial management information to support the organisation, including commentary and analysis to assist key stakeholders with their understanding of financial performance.    The Management Accountant will also play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Manager with Financial Planning and Analysis activities including annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified as a minimum (ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA), be a flexible team player, and have the enthusiasm and capacity to spot areas for improvement and develop better ways of working. You will be responsible for: •Producing periodic management accounts for all departmental budget holders, and producing executive summary packs with variance analysis and commentary •Undertaking periodic financial reviews with departmental budget holders to explain their financial performance, resolve queries and understand key variances •Preparing and supplying information for the annual audit  •Supervision and delegation of activities to the Finance Assistants  •Supporting all planning and budgeting activities as part of the annual planning cycle •Ensuring that the financial elements of monthly payroll have been processed and accounted for correctly, and that payments have been made to HMRC for pay deductions In return we will provide you with: • 27 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time) • Contributory pension scheme/ NHS transferrable  • Occupational health and Employee Assistance Programme • Childcare voucher scheme • Family-friendly policies and practice • Supportive induction, training and development opportunities • Free parking If you think you may be the person for this exciting role, then please contact us for more information or to arrange an informal visit.
