Strong software/COTS/ERP experience is a crucial requirement for this role.

Your responsibilities:

As a Project Manager you will be working in the central IT department and will be responsible for managing change to our client's internal IT systems. You will work through the end to end lifecycle of the project from concept, through definition and design, build and test, ensuring there is a smooth transition into the Service Management team. Projects may range from circa £50k up to £3m and, depending on their scale, you will be expected to manage a number of projects concurrently. The majority of Projects will involve selecting suitable Software as a Service. You will be accountable for delivering the project against a project budget and to agreed timelines. In addition to defining project scope, goals and deliverables and producing the project initiation document, key deliverables include:

  • producing a comprehensive project plan and assigning both direct and virtual project team members
  • identifying and managing third party suppliers as well as internal development teams
  • managing customer relationships
  • tracking progress against project deliverables.

About you:

You need to have a recognised project management accreditation, a proven track record of project delivery of IT from Concept to Close.

You need to be experienced in the financial control of project budgets and skilled in detailed project planning, have a sound understanding of ERP, Workplace and Service Management IT Applications.

You are used to delivering Infrastructure solutions, both in house and in the cloud, you are comfortable with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies and bespoke and 'out of the box' solutions. Experienced in matrix management of a project team, including third parties, you can also offer:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Working knowledge of eTOM, ITIL
  • Delivering through third parties, including experience of associated procurement and commercial aspects * Delivering Business Change
