You will support them in all aspects of their educational journey, specifically linked to any physical, mental or emotional health concerns they may have. The Role As a Student Health Coordinator, you will ensure students with physical, mental or emotional health concerns are well supported to attend college and are given the opportunity to achieve their full potential. In doing so, you will ensure that student support needs are accessible, comprehensive, visible and effective and that any feedback or improvements suggested are implemented in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, you will lead and manage a small team of student counsellors, mental health coaches and support staff ensuring that all student needs are effectively met. You will work closely with lecturers and tutors to ensure that any health related issues are picked up on and dealt with to ensure minimal impact to student's academic progression. You will be expected to also play an active role in the promotion and advertisement of the Student Health Services on offer ensuring that students are staff are well informed on how the services could help them. You will also be a member of the College Safeguarding Panel as well as being a designated safeguarding officer. This role is a permanent position on a 33 hour per week contract. The hours of work are term time only (39 weeks per academic year).
