Moto Hospitality are looking for a reliable and committed Burgerking Department Manager at our Tiverton M5 motorway services.

As a Department Manager at Moto you will take overall responsibility for driving sales, operational standards and ensuring brand compliance by developing your team, delivering high quality customer service and budgeted profit for the unit.

Responsibilities:

Champion customer service and create a culture of service and salesLead by example by providing a hands-on approachEnsure customers are served in a friendly, professional and efficient mannerHandle and resolve customer complaints in line with company proceduresRecruit, develop and lead teams within assigned departments, ensure effective control of labour by using management and local information, ensuring that labour matches projected sales with team delivering operational and service standardMotivate all team members and monitor performance and conduct in line with company proceduresEnsure that the company appraisal process is in place and is both effective and constructive for all team membersCommunicate all key information to the team using tools providedEnsure that all company policies and procedures are in place to maintain cash and stock security and that all necessary action is takenResponsible for delivering brand standards at all timesOrganising all resources efficiently including staff and product linesMaximising sales through effective merchandising and marketing and in line with brand standardsIdentify opportunities to maximise sales at a local level, being aware of local and national eventsEnsure all standards, health and food safety legislative checks are completed and that all necessary remedial action is taken/issues are escalatedAnalyse and act upon financial/performance data to ensure the unit is running efficiently and profitably, by ensuring all basic cost controls are in place and they meet company targets (cost of sales, labour costs and ratios, direct and indirect costs, managing of bad debt)Manage and achieve stock holding within company targetsBe fully conversant with all key management accountsMonitor the units KPI’s ensuring targets are metWho we're looking for

You will have enthusiasm to deliver outstanding customer service and retain good customer relations, ideally in a multi-unit environment. You will have the ability to lead a team through motivation and engagement A flexible approach to working hours/environment and to communicate confidently to all is a key part of this role.
