This is a full time and permanent role from March 2018 although an earlier start date is possible. This independent school offers an exciting and challenging education. The Head is seeking an adaptable, self-motivated, energetic and caring individual to take up the role of Assistant Housemistress within a boarding house of girls. The primary role is to provide outstanding pastoral care for the girls in the boarding house. You will help to provide a relaxed, warm and caring environment which the pupils are happy to call "home". You will support the Housemistress and share the day to day concerns for the children and all aspects of running the boarding house. The successful candidate will possess effective communication skills, both written and spoken and possess good organisational skills. You will understand the importance of attention to detail and have the ability to work with flexibility and with initiative and be a team player. Ideally you will have experience of working with young people in a boarding school setting.
