Projects vary in scale covering a variety of building sectors including: Commercial, Residential and Retail. Senior Structural Engineer responsibilities: * Plan and manage projects effectively and efficiently; to include scoping projects with appropriate inputs, outputs, implementation of activities, verification and technical review. * Undertake investigations, inspections and develop solutions to clients' problems by applying appropriate analysis techniques. * Undertake and/or arrange appropriate technical review and verification of work. * Prepare designs, technical reports, presentations, specifications and contract documentation. * Act as Project Manager on projects, as assigned, ensuring that all deliverables meet clients' expressed and, as far as practicable, implied needs and expectations. * Manage projects, including proactive and timely reporting to clients, preparation of financial information for billing and appropriate use of company accounting, record and quality management systems. * Commission and manage specialist services from internal and external sources. * Coach and mentor project team members to maximise their capabilities and ensure successful project outcomes. * Prepare tender submissions, fee proposals and estimates in response to client briefs. * Proactively manage clients, understanding their present and future needs, maintain regular contact with these clients, ensuring they remain satisfied with our services. * Promote the technical services and capabilities of the company and actively undertake business development and marketing with the aim of creating income streams for the wider team. This role offers project management, technical design and reporting work and assisting with the general running of the production side of the office, including attending weekly resourcing meetings. You will have the opportunity to extend your knowledge of a professional practice including financial control, networking and building client relationships, fee proposals, project control, fee account invoicing, warranties and appointments, professional indemnity, all with the aim of allowing you to become an Engineer with well rounded experience and ultimately your own Client list. This role is flexible depending on the right candidate's current level and therefore able to adapt the role around you. Therefore Salary and Benefits package is negotiable depending on experience.
