Job Title: Financial Lines Account Handler Salary: £22,000-£33,000 (Dependent upon experience) Location: Leicester City Sector: Commercial Insurance Due to expansion we are looking for an Experienced Financial Lines Account handler with experience in corporate accounts preferably coming from an advisory background. The Role As the Financial Lines Account Handler you will be responsible for: To secure and arrange appropriate cover at renewal at a competitive premium, completing all relevant documentation / computer work and hand over to relevant Account Executive (if an allocated case). - To take instructions relating to the provision of specialist insurance cover from clients and Account Executives when appropriate. - To give instructions to insurers. - To manage all claims from first notification through to settlement, checking that cover applies and creating the necessary file / documentation etc. If an allocated case, to keep the Account Executive up to date with present position on large, complex or difficult claims. - To ensure mid-term adjustments are processed and records updated. - To handle the invoicing of all premiums due. - To check all client documentation, i.e. policies and endorsements for accuracy prior to sending to client. - Obtain quotations and do the broking for any relevant new policies / renewals. - To ensure company procedures are followed and reviewed. - To deal with any other client issues that may arise, referring to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside your own knowledge and experience. The Person: As the Financial Lines Account Handler you will be responsible for: - Thorough knowledge of Directors and Officers, Pension Trustees Liability and Professional Indemnity covers offered by Oval with reference to appropriate experts when the cover falls outside your own experience. - Thorough knowledge of the insurance markets available. - Thorough knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principles. - Extensive knowledge of all company specific procedures. - Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of general insurance in operation at any time. - A thorough understanding of FSA regulations and guidelines relating to private and commercial customers. - Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internally and externally to Oval
