Our client are an award winning Digital Marketing company based in Manchester City Centre. They are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing team.

The business development manager will be responsible for the following:

  1. Identify new sales leads and opportunities to generate viable meetings to introduce the company
  2. Make approaches to prospective clients who are deemed appropriate to introduce the companies services
  3. Conduct meetings on a formal and informal basis with prospective clients
  4. Present the comapanies service offering to prospective clients in a way that is in line with brand values
  5. Research, find and attend relevant networking events on behalf of the company to increase network and brand awareness
  6. Identify and approach prospective service level partners for collaboration and client referral business
  7. Feed back regularly to directors on progress and pipeline of prospective clients
  8. Create proposal documents and assist with quotes

On a day to day basis, the business development manager will:

  • Research organisations and relevant individuals online to identify new leads
  • Enter and update contacts in a spreadsheet to build up a contact database
  • Research the needs of other companies and learn who makes purchasing decisions for digital services
  • Contact potential clients via email, phone or in person to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Take an active role in planning new marketing initiatives to promote awareness of the company
  • Attend conferences, meetings, industry and networking events
  • Preparation of documents for pitching to prospective clients (templates will be provided)
  • Keep in touch with prospective clients on an ongoing basis and keeping them abreast of developments within the company that may be of interest (primarily via email)
  • Proactively take charge of own sales performance and set own goals for key tasks that are in line with set targets
  • Help other team members develop their skills in identifying upsell opportunities with existing clients, and assisting them with the relevant approach

In return you will receive a competitive basic salary of £23-£28k based upon experience + an attractive bonus scheme that could see you earning £50k+
